In June 2020 we undertook to help support International Students at Western Sydney University’s Campbelltown and Bankstown Campuses that were suffering from hardship owing to the COVID 19 pandemic.  We could not have delivered over 200 food hampers and toiletries  packs to these students without the help of the Southwest Multicultural and Community Centre (SMACC) in Minto NSW.

SWMACC aims to engage, educate, and unite communities towards a brighter collective future. Their diverse social, educational and community programs are tailored to inspire better citizenship and improve outcomes for all. They provide a range of programs and support services to the community, including Community Dinners, Emergency Food Hampers, leadership programs for Pacific Youth, post release support programs, dance fit programs and many more.

We were so in awe of the great work that they do supporting our community that we decided to give them a $500 Bunnings Gift Voucher so that they could purchase some items to make their work a little bit easier.

SWMACC  were keen to show us what they purchased with the voucher.  They bought 3 trollies a blower, face visors, gloves, masks and screening material that will be put to good use providing emergency food support for those that are doing it tough at the moment.
